Iron-dextran induced dielectric heat in the 13.56 MHz RF wave to boost temperature elevation. a The iron-dextran generated heating upon RF hyperthermia and the temperature was elevated significantly compared to iron-free dextran solution. b Exposure of human lung cancer NCI-H460 cells to iron-dextran boosted temperature elevation in a dose-dependent manner while this effect was not observed in normal cells.
