CBE suppresses sebum production, and TG, SREBP-1 and PPARγ expression induced by PA in sebocytes. A Sebocytes were treated PA with or without retinol or CBE and incubated for 48 h. To detect sebum synthesized in the sebocytes, Nile red staining was performed, and sebum droplets were observed by fluorescence microscopy. Scale bar is 100 µm. The fluorescence intensity of the droplets was calculated using ImageJ. B Sebocytes were cultured and incubated for 72 h with or without CBE. TG levels were measured using the TG ELISA Kit. C Prepared sebocytes lysates were treated. Protein levels of SREBP-1, PPARγ and GAPDH were detected. The levels of SREBP-1 and PPARγ were normalized to that of GAPDH (n  = 3). These data are presented as the mean  ±  SD, *P  < 0.05 compared to PA-treated control
