Effect of CA on the scratching behavior in mice (n = 6/group). CA was orally administered 1 h before the intradermal injection of histamine (A) or compound 48/80 (B). Scratching behavior was counted as one incident of scratching for 30 min. Terfenadine (10 mg/kg) was used as a positive control. The data represents the mean ± S.D. of three independent experiments (#p < 0.05 vs. control group, *p < 0.05 vs. compound 48/80 or histamine-treated group)
