Effect of APDT-LFE on the growth rate of C. elegans in MRSA and S. aureus infection model. Eggs were fed with LFE-incubated MRSA or S. aureus (LFE concentration:20 µg/mL; incubation time: 30 min) or ampicillin as the positive control. NGM plate coated with E. coli was used as vehicle control. After reaching the L1 stage, the plates were irradiated with a red light at 600 W/m2 for 10 min. The body length A, C and the microscopic images of the worms B, D were evaluated on the fourth day after the egg state. The results are representative of three independent experiments.
