  1. Cells were grown in Brain–Heart-Infusion broth and incubated at 37 °C with moderate shaking. Results of NheA toxin production, viable cell count, and doubling time are means of duplicates
  2. Absorbance results >0.2 are considered to be positive based on ELISA. O/S, off scale, absorbance >3.0
