Effect of TGF-β on EMT associated transcription factors and epithelial markers. HeLa cells were treated with TGF-β (5 ng/mL) for 24 h. At the end of treatment period, proteins and RNA were extracted and analyzed for factors associated with EMT using a western blot analysis and b RT-PCR analysis. Intensity of the bands was quantified using ImageJ software. Statistical analysis was used to determine significance (* P < 0.05). Analysis was performed on three independent blots and the mean values ± SEM are shown
