HX106N inhibits Aβ and tau aggregation by blocking the transition of monomers into oligomers. a ThT assay for the inhibition of Aβ(1-42) aggregation. Six concentrations of HX106N were incubated with equal amounts of monomeric Aβ(1-42). Fluorescence intensity was normalized to Aβ aggregates (100%, 3-day). All data are representative results of at least three independent experiments. b ThT assay for the inhibition of tau aggregation. Five concentrations of HX106N were incubated with equal amounts of tau. Fluorescence intensity was normalized to tau aggregates (100%, 5-day). All data are representative results of at least three independent experiments. c Visualization of Aβ peptide distribution by SDS-PAGE analysis with PICUP chemistry. d Dot blot analysis of protein oligomer (anti-amyloidogenic protein oligomer A11) in incubated samples of Aβ and HX106N
