Cytotoxicity of CB01. A U87 and HeLa cells were incubated in 96-well cell-culture plates with no drug, 1 nM, 10 nM, 100 nM, 1 µM, or 10 µM CB01. After 48 h, the cytotoxicity of CB01 was investigated by measuring the number of alive cells via the MTT assay or B by measuring the quantity of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) released into the medium. The cell viability and quantity of released LDH are shown as percentages of the control levels (A untreated cells; and B complete lysis of untreated cells). Based on the dose–response curve, the IC50s of CB01 was estimated at approximately 40 nM. All the data are presented as mean ± SEM.
