Effects on C4H (A), PAL (B) and 4CL (C) activities in Jiashi and 86-1 melons infected with A. alternata. Jiashi and 86-1 melons were washed after harvested and dried in air. Afterwards, Jiashi and 86-1 melons were inoculated with A. alternata (1 × 104 conidia per milliliter) or sterile distilled water (control) and storage at 7 ℃, 85–90% RH.
